How To Buy A Quality Designer Leather Coat Without Getting Burned

Is your wardrobe looking a little bland and boring? If so, one of the best things you can do to spice it up is to invest in a high quality designer leather coat that you can wear with a wide range of fashion choices. The reason I say invest is because that is how you should consider a leather coat. A good one will last you forever if it is cared for properly and if you buy one that is not faddish or trendy it will be in style forever as well. When you first start looking at high end leather coats you may get sticker shock at first if you haven't seen the prices that these special fashion items sell for.

You need to get past that however because the cost is very much worth it since as I said these coats can literally last a lifetime. Don't be tempted to settle for some cheap imitation leather material, this just will not do. Everyone knows what real leather looks, feels, and smells like so you aren't going to fool anyone and you will be very dissatisfied. A high quality leather coat is the ticket for giving you an elegant and high class look even when worn with jeans. If you are wondering what style of coat to buy you may want to review some of the latest styles in the latest fashion magazines or even Consumer Reports. You will usually see some of the reports on newer leather coats coming out in September. If you intend to make the coat last as long as possible remember not to be too trendy. For women there are a couple of designers that have been very popular lately.

One of these is Andrew Marc whose new double breasted women's coat line is very stylish and modern looking. What is unique about this coat is that it has both a vintage and modern look at the same time. The Cole Haan lambskin blazer is another very popular leather coat these days. This blazer features the distressed look that is so hot today and comes in brown. This very hip looking coat is popular with all ages and can be worn with a variety of looks. The leather coats from Michael Kors are in high demand from anyone and everyone who knows leather coats. He has been a leader in the leather fashion market for a long time and is sought after by celebrities and models for his innovative designs.

Fashion: To Do or Not to Do, That Is the Question

Always give yourself the right to choose whatever you are most excited about. Your closet must always have classic fashions. No matter what your personal fashion taste is, you can never go wrong with those basic items of clothing that that can be dressed up for an evening event, or dressed down for a casual look. Also, classic clothing can be accessorized for an updated look by adding current jewelry, a bold scarf, or a chic belt. It is better to know the difference between styles that are classics and styles that are simply trends. Classic styles are those items of clothing that are traditional and have a long lasting look, like the little black dress, the tailored suit, or the slim pant suit. When you have classic fashions, you can go anywhere at any time. Especially when you select well-made pieces in good fabrics, they tend to last longer with each wear. In addition, they tend to feel and look better when you wear them. Look for lightweight fabrics in natural fibers like silk, wool, and wool gabardine, cotton, linen, and cashmere.

Many of the quality man-made synthetic fibers are suitable for long lasting wear. Make sure everything fits, especially your tailored pieces. Though, when alterations are necessary, for a better fit, it may be worth the time and money to visit a tailor or an expert seamstress. For those of you who are hooked on the everyday casual look, you can still dress in your own way. Try adding a tailored jacket with your jeans, or a jean jacket with a good T-shirt and tailored skirt. Classics don't have to be boring. Showing your creative side, why not wear an ethnic or artful scarf to give the classics your own unique style. Think about an African print tunic, a wide bracelet, or a Jade pendant. Classics are also good for the budget conscious. Since classic clothing lasts longer, you will make fewer trips and spend less at the malls. With just that little black dress or a solid color suit, you can add a bold colored scarf, several chain necklaces, a three-quarter tunic, or different belts to create many new looks.

Here is a test... With the wardrobe you now have in your closet, how many can be counted as classics? Do you have . . . O At least one, three-piece suit consisting of a jacket, skirt and pants in a solid color. O A navy blazer -- it makes an impression. O At least one white shirt -- nothing beats a long sleeve, crisp cotton shirt. O At least one pair of solid color slacks - can be paired with any top or jacket. O Jeans -- Keep them clean and pressed. O One little black dress -- All hail to this one item that can go day to evening. O Formal wear -- Can be elegant separates that can be mixed and matched to make different outfits. O An all-weather coat. The trench coat will always be a true classic. O A smile - pulls your whole outfit together. O A positive self image. Confidence and pride works wonders. As long as you know the difference between the styles for daytime casual and evening elegance, your choice of fashion will be in agreement with the appropriate occasion. Fashion style, fashion etiquette and good taste then, are the answers to the fashion question.

How To Choose The Proper Exercise Apparel For Your Workouts

One of the most important aspects of working out is choosing the appropriate workout attire that will be comfortable during the exercise you are doing. A lot of this is personal preference depending upon what is comfortable to you. You can't just look at your workout buddy's gym attire and then buy the same things they have unless you truly know that those same garments will be okay for you. There are a few things that will help you keep from having to go through the hassle of returns.

One of the first things you want to look at is fabrics that will move moisture out away from your body which will keep you dry and comfortable for long and sweaty workouts. If you are doing high impact aerobics or running you will want a fabric that will remove moisture as well so that you will stay as dry as possible. This type of apparel will be more expensive but it will be well worth it. If you aren't going to be working out so hard that you sweat a lot then you can go with a blend of polyester, cotton, and spandex.

The next thing we want to look at now that we know the appropriate fabrics is how to choose the right cuts that will be good for the activities you are doing. If you live in an area where it is cool and you will be exercising outdoors you will want to buy the exercise apparel in layers that you can remove as you heat up and tie them around your waist or place in a light backpack. The clothing layer that is next to your skin should be either long sleeve or a tank top depending upon the weather and temperature. You may choose to wear a sweatshirt over the first layer which can then be topped off with an all weather jacket if you are going to be in rain, sleet, or snow. As far as pants go there are a great number of choices in pants that wick moisture and some of them even come in thermal styles to help keep you warm which can be worn by themselves or with another layer.

If you are training in the cold be sure to wear a cap or hat to keep your head warm, much of our body heat is lost through the head when it is cold. If you are training or exercising in a commercial gym or in your own home it is also smart to dress in layers so that you can remove clothing as you warm up. When weightlifting or doing aerobics especially a t-shirt can become tight and rigid due to being wet and will give you some skin irritation. If you dress in layers you will always be comfortable no matter what climate you are in.
