This applies to all of our grandchildren.  It's called looking at the world looking through your grandchildrens eyes, and being reborn.  You get to see to the circus, for the first time...again.  You get to learn to walk, ride a bike, watch their first movie, learn the alphabet, know the seasons....everything.  You have the opportunity to do it all again, learn it all again and enjoy it all again..through their eyes.

And these are the stories that we take to our grave.  Not our exploits.  Not how much money we make.  Not what we do.  It is what we do through them.

Here's an example....submitted by Ceil about her grandson Nicolas, from Coram, N.Y.

I love my two sweeties, John and Nicolas, and would do anything for them.  So when they asked to come over for the weekend, even though they can be a handful, I never turn them down.

So when they wanted to come over on Saturday night and sleep over, of course I said yes.  But as the night wore on, I got a little tired and I asked Nicolas, the 7-year old, to please go to the refrigerator for me and get me a beer.

He said yes and went to the refrigerator , opened the door, and then asked me....

Hey Grandma....how many beers do you want?

I never laughed  so hard in my life.
